Shocking video captured a woman on a rampage at Mexico City International Airport – throwing items at the check-in counter and assaulting an airline employee.
The unruly passenger is seen shouting, throwing items and jumping on a counter after arriving on a flight on Tuesday, Fox News reported.
He was reportedly denied boarding by an Emirates agent when he showed up late and presented an expired passport.
The woman assaulted the employee before throwing several items, including items from a suitcase and computer equipment, as airport staff tried to calm her down.
He was eventually detained by airport security while police responded to the scene.
“On November 1, we can confirm that there was an incident at the check-in counter at Mexico City International Airport where a passenger who arrived late at the check-in counter was also found to be traveling with an expired passport,” Emirates said. Fox News said in a statement.
“The customer was denied travel and became agitated and physically abusive to ground staff, necessitating the intervention of airport security and police,” the Dubai-based airline added.
The woman’s name and where she was flying from have not been disclosed.
